Those parents / carers who arrive late when collecting their child(ren) will need to collect them from the Main Reception and a late collection charge will be handed out.

Safety around the school site

Safety around our school site is important especially as social distancing measures need to be in place. In order for this to run smoothly, contact with parents / carers will need to be minimised, with only a single parent attending the drop off and pick up of children whilst observing the 2m distancing rule.

If you are dropping off or picking up your child from school, you will also need to continue to wear a face mask otherwise you will not be allowed onto the school premises.

Attendance:

Attendance back in school will be mandatory from Monday 8th March 2021 and the usual rules on school attendance apply, including parents’ duty to secure their child’s regular attendance at school as stated by the government.

What will pupils need to bring back to school on Monday 8th March 2021?

Your child will need to bring back any stationery, equipment and/or resources along with their Maths No Problem book back to school so that they can continue to use them in the classroom.

If your child has borrowed a digital device such as a Chromebook, Laptop or Tablet, this will also need to be brought into school and handed over to the class teacher so that we can confirm and record that the device has been returned back to school and quarantined so that they can continue to be used during school time.

Thank you for your continued help and support

It is extremely important that everyone follows the social distancing rules put in place in order to keep the whole school community safe. It is still alarming to read that the infection levels in Leicester remain stubbornly high with the city having the third highest rate of infection in the country. It is therefore really important that we all do what we can, by following the rules, to help bring the infection levels down.

We look forward to welcoming pupils back into school from Monday 8th March 2021 and continue to provide them with the best education possible!

Kind Regards,

Rushey Mead Primary.
