  • Wheelchair Basketball

    Our KS1 children have really enjoyed their Wheelchair Basketball lessons during P.E. The children have learnt how to move the wheelchair in a range of different ways, including going forwards, backwards and spinning on the spot. We introduced balloons into the group this week to see whether the children could keep them up in the air. Well done everyone!

    Our Year 2 children have been busy investigating which is the best type of paper and which is the best type of bag. They conducted some experiments and ensured that the tests were fair before collecting data and presenting what they found out. Well done Year 2!

    Our Year 1 children have been busy creating pictograms in their Computing lessons. The children were able to collect the data as a class and create a tally chart before using the iPads to make their own pictograms. Well done Year 1!

    Our Year 2 children have been busy learning how to cook a simple meal in their Design and Technology lessons. The children were able to make stuffed peppers with rice, new potatoes and a side salad. The children really enjoyed learning how to use the kitchen tools safely. Well done Year 2!

  • What are the features of a Non-chronological report?

    Our Year 2 children have been busy learning about the features of a non-chronological report. The children have been learning about writing a short summary as their introduction, what bullet points are used for and writing captions to go with some photographs. Next week the children will be writing their own non-chronological reports based on plastic pollution. Well done Year 2!

    Our Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Nursery Rhyme Week last week. They explored a range of different activities within the provision and learnt a range of nursery rhymes including: 'London Bridge is falling down,' 'Humpty Dumpty,' and 'Incy Wincy Spider.'

    Our Year 1 children have been busy programming the beebots in their Computing lessons. The children learnt the word 'algorithm' and what that means. They understood that instructions have to be given in the correct order for the algorithm to work.

    Our Year 2 children have been busy learning about the story 'The Missing Piece' by Jordan Stephens. The children really enjoyed thinking about what made them happy and they enjoyed creating the collage characters and jigsaw pieces as part of a team. Well done Year 2!
