Our Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed their 'Beside the seaside' workshop. They learnt all about the seaside in Victorian times. The children were able to dress up in Victorian costumes and they also made thaumatropes. They are now very excited to learn all about coastlines!
Our Year 2 children enjoyed looking through atlases as part of their Geography learning this afternoon! We have been learning about the importance of a key on a map and we have explored how keys may look different on a variety of maps.
Our Year 6 children have been learning about inuit inspired art as part of their unit of work on 'Frozen Kingdom.' The children planned their art and then used clay to create their work. Well done Year 6!
Our Key Stage Two children have been taking part in a basketball tournament at lunchtimes and competing with other schools across the county. The children performed admirably and a special mention to Year 4 who came first!
Our Year 1 children have been learning to write their own postcards based on the story 'Katie in London.' The children learnt about the features that a postcard has and they drew the front of the postcard too. Well done Year 1!
Chestnut Class have been busy learning about the story ‘The Pirate Cruncher.’ The children thoroughly enjoyed the story and have been talking about it ever since! Excellent writing Chestnut Class!
