  • Rocks, Relics and Rumbles

    In Year 3 the children have been enjoying their new Science learning on Rocks, Relics and Rumbles. The children made layers of the Earth using salt dough and created their our own volcanic eruptions. The children then practised their Oracy skills by discussing which volcano was the odd one out.

    This week the 3D printer has been printing Year 5's flower and plant designs based on their new topic 'Sow, grow and farm.' The Year 5 children have been working hard to research and learn about allotments in preparation for planting the school allotment in the spring.

    In Computing this week the children have been creating their own digital art based on the artwork of Piet Mondrian. The children have thoroughly enjoyed creating their own artwork by using a selection of tools and colours on Google Drawings.

    During this half-term we have been provided with a 3D printer as part of a project with other local schools. Over the next few weeks the children will be using Tinkercad to create their own design templates before printing their designs onto the 3D printer.
