Christmas Competition winners!

Let it snow...
Published 10/12/21Our Year 1 and Year 2 children concluded their learning on fruit by making their own fruit snowmen. The children used a variety of skills and tools to create their snack.

Published 01/12/21In Rainbows this week the children were split into pairs to work on their teamwork skills. The children had to use their coding skills to program the robot to move along the route.

Music, movement and dance!
Published 25/11/21On Tuesday, Kim from Funky Feet Music came to our school to teach a variety of Kimbles sessions to the Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children.

The Poli:Gen project
Published 24/11/21This week the children continued to plant their chosen plants and trees around the allotment area in the school grounds.
The children have really enjoyed taking part in the project across two academic terms and unfortunately the project will be coming to an end at Christmas.

Cookery lessons!
Published 19/11/21This week our Year 5 and 6 children have been developing their cooking skills as part of Curriculum Enrichment.
The children used a variety of tools to make the salad and then mixed it together.

Reception trip to Coombe Abbey!
Published 18/11/21Yesterday our Reception children went on their first school trip of the year to Coombe Abbey Country Park!
The children enjoyed the bus journey to the park before they explored the story of 'The Three Little Pigs.' The children used the Forest School area at the park to make their own versions of the three pigs' houses.

Poli:Gen project
Published 17/11/21As part of our Year 5 Poli:Gen project, the school was awarded £750! The children chose flowering plants, gardening gloves, kneeling mats as well as tarpaulin.

Marty the robot
Published 16/11/21Over the last couple of weeks Marty the robot arrived in school. Our children from Reception all the way to Year 5 have had the opportunity to write code and program a set of instructions for Marty to follow.

Dogs trust!
Published 15/11/21This week our children have met Sarah from The Dogs Trust. Sarah has been teaching the children about dogs and their senses. We enjoyed a virtual assembly this morning where Sarah introduced herself and explained that she would be getting the children ready to meet Harper, our therapy dog.

Lest we forget!
Published 12/11/21Our school took part in a 2 minutes silence yesterday to commemorate the end of World War One in 1918.
Throughout the week our Nursery children have been busy making their own poppies.
