Our Reception children have been busy developing their gross motor skills this week. The children have been using rackets and balls to play some team Tennis games. As you can see they have had a great time!

The children in Reception have been learning about a range of minibeasts including: centipedes, butterflies and worms. The children used plasticine to create their own minibeast models. I am sure you will agree that they look fantastic! Well done Reception! 
Last week, some of our pupils attended a Tag Rudby event that had been organised by the Leicester Tigers. The children had a fantastic time, and they worked really well together as a team! Well done everyone! 
Two of our children were able to take part in an All Star Athletics event last week. The children had been specifically invited after demonstrating resilience and determination in a previous event! They both had a fantastic time! 
As part of their learning on Planting and Growing the children have been watering the different herbs and plants within the Garden area. This week, the children were able to harvest some radishes as they were ready to pick! Well done everyone! 
Some of our Year 5 children went to a Dodgeball event the other day. The children played several games against other schools and had a fantastic time! Well done everyone! 
Our Reception children have been busy learning about planting and growing. In the exploration area this week, the children have been observing and exploring different seeds and sketching some vegetables!

In April, we took five teams of children to a Hockey tournament. The children spent the morning training and learning about hockey skills before playing games against other schools in the afternoon. Well done everyone! 
Our Reception children have been really busy in their Maths lessons recently. The children have been learning how to count on both in the indoor provision and the outdoor provision. Well done everyone!
Our Key Stage Two children had a visit from the staff at the National Space Centre last week. The children learnt lots of things about Space and took part in lots of fantastic experiments!
