  • Halloween treats!

    Our Year 1 and 2 children have enjoyed their cooking lesson this week. As it is Halloween at the weekend the children have been using a variety of ingredients to create spider biscuits. The children used pretzel sticks to make the spider's legs, and they used oreo biscuits for the spider's body.

    Yesterday our Year 4 children enjoyed their school trip to York. The children spent the day at the Jorvik Centre where they supported their learning in class by learning lots of information about the Vikings as part of their Invasion topic.

    Our Year 5 children were lucky enough to meet Serena Patel, the author of the Anisha Accidental detective series last week. They enjoyed listening to an extract from her new book and asked Serena lots of questions about what inspired her to become an author.

    On Tuesday our Year 1 children enjoyed their first school trip of the year. The Year 1 children went on a short bus ride into Leicester where we arrived at the Newarke Houses Museum. The children were learning about a selection of old and new toys, including toys that were played with 400 years ago!
