Rushey Mead’s School Council meets on a weekly basis to plan events and discuss arising issues. Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6 democratically vote for a new School Council Representative yearly. The Representatives role is to represent pupils’ views and feedback from meetings.
Last year School Council Representatives were involved in taking part in several fund raising including running our school snack shop and Chocolate Bingo. The money raised was split between the children’s dominated charity (Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group) and the school playground fund. As you can see our new play equipment is currently being installed.
